Ever since Super 30 had gone into production, the first question that came into many of our minds is, will Hrithik managed to pull off the role convincingly. There was no doubt about his acting skills, but Hrithik's Greek God looks were most likely going to be a hindrance for a persona that has a rustic feel. Then we had leaked set images and posters of the film that showed us a bearded Hrithik, which hinted about how hard Hrithik is trying to get into the skin of the character. Having seen the recently unveiled trailer, Hrithik's larger-than-life persona still doesn't make it easy to convince us that his character is a man of small roots. That said, Hrithik is quite winsome in one of the most inspirational roles that he has done in his career. His Bihari twang is also going to win him more fans. The trailer shows how Anand Kumar leaves an esteemed coaching class to teach the poor students and get them on the path of victory, giving them dreams of NASA.
The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Aditya Shrivastava.

Super 30 had been plagued with quite a lot of troubles that resulted in the delay in its release. There were reports accusing Anand Kumar, the movie's muse, of being a fraud, which dies a quiet death. The biggest trouble for the film came when the director, Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by a former employee, and in the wake of the #MeToo movement, had his name removed from the project. Now that he has been cleared of all charges, Vikas Bahl has his name reinstated as the director. Super 30 is also the last production that Phantom Films is producing, as the banner got split over Vikas Bahl, who is one of the core members, was involved in the scandal.
Super 30 recently found itself in a new controversy when its initial release date, July 26, was encroached by Kangana Ranaut's Mental Hai Kya. This lead to some more mudslinging from the actress and her sister, Rangoli, on Hrithik, and the latter got to release date moved earlier by 14 days. Super 30 is now releasing on July 12.
