Hrithik Roshan's much-impending film Super 30 has finally arrived in cinema halls today. The biographical drama, based on the life of mathematician genius Anand Kumar, is directed by Vikas Bahl and also stars newbie Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Tripathi in significant roles. Since its a solo release, Super 30 is bound to do well at the ticket windows. Also, the biopic will fare much better over the opening weekend now that India is out of the ongoing cricket world cup. As for today, Hrithik starrer got off to a fairly decent start during the morning shows as it witnessed 20 to 25 % occupancy in theatres across India. Super 30 Movie Review: Hrithik Roshan Is Sincere but Unconvincing in This Formulaic Take On Maths Genius Anand Kumar’s Life

Trade portal Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "Super 30 had a fair opening of around 20-25% which is decent for a film like this but not for a film which has a star like Hrithik Roshan coming after two years.. The problem was that the film hardly offered anything for the youth so the morning crowd was going to be limited. The opening is better than the last film of Hrithik Roshan, Kaabil but that film had a clash with Raees which outscored Kaabil by huge margins." Super 30 Review: 5 Flaws That Stop Hrithik Roshan’s Film From Being a Good Biopic That It Aims to Be (SPOILER ALERT)

Though Super 30 is about a mathematician teacher hailing from a small town, the film will mostly score big money from metro cities rather than from tier 2 and tier 3 markets. As predicted by trade pundits, Hrithik's latest offering will end its day 1 with double-digit figures. However, the big question is whether it will sustain itself over the weekdays or not. Guess only time will tell.
