After staying away from the big screen for almost two years, Hrithik Roshan is now back in action. His much-awaited film Super 30 finally released last week and managed to impress the critics. No wonder, the biographical drama took a good opening on Friday and then went on to consolidate its position at the box office over the first weekend. In just three days, Hrithik's latest offering raked in Rs 50 crore, making it the sixth highest opening weekend of the year. On Monday, Super 30 witnessed a 40% dip in its collection but stayed stable at the ticket windows as it clocked in close to Rs 7 crore on day 4. Now coming to Tuesday, Vikas Bahl's directorial venture again remained steady at the domestic box office as it collected Rs 6.39 crore. Announcing the same, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, "#Super30 remains in the same range on Day 5 [vis-à-vis Day 4]... Metros continue to fare well, while mass circuits/single screens are down... Fri 11.83 cr, Sat 18.19 cr, Sun 20.74 cr, Mon 6.92 cr, Tue 6.39 cr. Total: ₹ 64.07 cr. India biz."
Also, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "The trend is good for the film and overall its a pretty good performance with the week going to 75 crore nett approx and then the crucial second Friday." While Super 30 has had a smooth sail till now, things could slow down as Hollywood biggie The Lion King is set to release this Friday in India.
