For the baby boomers among Bollywood fans, let me use this piece to teach you about a legend. You might be knowing Suniel Shetty was the man who kicked Shah Rukh Khan's ass in Main Hoon Na (before he commits harakiri). You might have seen movies from the '90s where he was competing with Akshay Kumar for who can perform the most insane stunts. Before he was relegated to supporting characters and negative, Suniel Shetty was a bonafide action star, who along with the likes of Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn. Suniel Shetty’s Son Ahan Begins Shooting for His Debut Film ‘RX 100’ Remake with Tara Sutaria.

What's more, Suniel Shetty has got a knack choosing movies that have at least one chartbuster song. Not just any song, they represent the nostalgic value of the era when they came out - in being both cheesy and yet be cool, and of course, fun too. Suniel Shetty like most of his action peers, is a dancer with two left feet, and yet the confidence he shows in his limited dance steps is Suniel Shetty's way of showing swagger.

In this special feature written to celebrate Suniel Shetty's birthday, we list down 11 songs from the '90s that prove he is not just an action hero but also the king of dhinchak songs!

Sheher Ki Ladki

This popular song from the 1996 film Rakshak was composed by Milind-Anand with Raveena Tandon pitching in a special appearance. Recently, the song was recreated for Khaandani Shafakhana, that once again brought back Suniel Shetty and Raveena. Khandaani Shafakhana Song Sheher Ki Ladki: Raveena Tandon and Suniel Shetty Steal the Show With Diana Penty In This Groovy Remake of Their 90s Track (Watch).

Sundara Sundara

The same movie also offered another dhinchak hit in "Sundara Sundara", this time bringing a very beautiful Karisma Kapoor to shake a leg with Suniel Shetty.

Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere Paro

This superhit track from the 1996 film Shastra was composed by Aadesh Shrivastav.

Jhanjariya

Suniel Shetty and Karisma Kapoor return to this list (and they will untie again ahead) for this awesome track from the 1996 film Krishna. Suniel's moves in the song are just too rad! What say???

Hello Hello Bolke

Anand Raaj Anand has composed this popular song from the 1998 film Shastra, that has the '90s cool all over it! Abhijeet and Kavita Krishnamurthy easily sell this song with some lovely vocals.

Na Kajre Ki Dhaar

This track may not be as dhinchak and was the instant chartbuster that the other tracks of its movie, the 1994 film Mohra - namely, "Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast" and "Tip Tip Barsa Pani". But this romantic track, composed by Viju Shah, managed to permeate into playlists of music lovers soon enough.

Haye Hukku Haye Hukku Haaye Haaye

Told ya, Karisma Kapoor is going to make an appearance again to dance with Suniel Shetty! This time opportunity arrives with the 1994 film Gopi Kishan, whose songs were composed by Anand-Milind.

Aankhon Mein Base Ho Tum

Only Suniel Shetty can make a romantic song so rapchik, like this track from the 1995 film Takkar that was composed by Anu Malik.

Mera Dil De Diya

Not all Suniel Shetty films worked at the box office, but expect nearly one of them to have a blockbuster track. Like this song from the 1997 Prithvi, that was composed by Viju Shah and co-featured Shilpa Shetty.

Dil Maka Dina

Composer Anu Malik had a strange obsession with the Spanish track "Macarena" in 1997. He plagiarised the same song for two movies that came out in the same year. One for Salman Khan's Auzaar and another for Suniel Shetty's Dhaal. And interestingly, both the versions were chartbusters.

Sandese Aate Hain

Although this wonderful track from Border is hardly a dhinchak song, it is considered as one of the best patriotic songs ever composed (credit: Anu Malik with some amazing lyrics from Javed Akhtar). And yes, it featured Suniel Shetty!
