Sui Dhaaga Trailer: Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's Film Leaves Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Smriti Irani Mighty Impressed - Read Tweets

Going against the characters they usually play in their other movies, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan surprised everyone with their rural-based characters in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India. Based on the government's 'Make in India' initiative, Sui Dhaaga has Varun and Anushka play a married couple who decide to start their own tailoring business after they are done with the insults they face at workplace and at home. The movie is directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Yash Raj Films.

The first trailer of Sui Dhaaga - Made in India was revealed on July 13 and had everyone on social media raving about the trailer. People were impressed with Varun and Anushka (paired up for the first time in a movie)'s simple characters, the refreshing change from the usual foreign-obsessed locales to go desi and the message in the film. Celebs like Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Nushrat Bharucha, Riteish Deshmukh are raving about the film. Even Union Minister for Textiles, Smriti Z Irani, have given a thumbs up to the trailer.

While Anushka has worked with YRF before, Sui Dhaaga - Made in India marks Varun Dhawan's first film with the prestigious film production company. Sui Dhaaga - Made in India will release on September 28.
