Subhash Ghai on Types of Actors

Subhash Ghai discussed the five categories of actors in the Industry. He outlined, “Ek hota hai non-actor, ek hota hai bad actor, ek hota hai actor, ek hota hai good actor (aur) ek hota hai great actor. Yeh paanch actors hote hai”. Non-actor kaise? Ek film dekhi thi Saudagar, usme Vivek Mushran joh tha – ek ladka jisse maine cast kiya tha, woh non-actor tha. Usne kabhi camera, studio dekhi nahi thi. Toh Raaj Kumar saab ko bohot taaqleef hoti thi uske saamne dialogues bolne ki, (woh) bolte tha, ‘woh dialogue ki tarah nahi bolta," the filmmaker added.

Subhash Ghai Calls Shah Rukh Khan ‘Good Actor’

Ghai’s definition of a ‘good actor’ was illustrated through Shah Rukh Khan, whom he worked with on Pardes. He stated, “A good actor elevates a scene beyond the script. Shah Rukh did this, often surpassing what was written. Despite our differences and debates, his performances could lift any scene.” “I have worked with actors who weren’t stars at the time but they had their own qualities. For instance, I have worked with Shah Rukh in Pardes and sometimes I felt like he lifted scenes from what was written in the script. Though we had our differences and we would argue; but if he is really performing, he can take a scene and lift it,” Ghai added. New Video of Shah Rukh Khan From NY Trip Goes Viral; Actor Spotted Enjoying Meal With Son AbRam at Restaurant – WATCH.
