Stree Box Office Report: Rajkummar Rao's Horror Comedy Marches Towards Half-Century Club, Collects Rs 48.34 Crore

Rajkummar Rao is witnessing the love of his fans once again. The acting skills of this actor have been proved time and again and Stree is just another feather in his hat. Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy also starring Shraddha Kapoor is getting a wide response from the audience. The flick git critical acclamation and the positive word of mouth helped the film collect good amount at the ticket windows.
On Day 5, the film collected Rs 6.37 crore taking the total collection to Rs 48.34 crore. Just in a day, the movie will enter the half-century club. It is a commendable feat achieved by the makers as the film was made on a modest budget.
Stree saw good collections this week, owing to the Janmashtami holiday and the weekends. The numbers collected are impressive and it goes like Friday: 6.83cr, Saturday: 10.87cr, Sunday: 14.57cr, Monday: 9.70cr, Tuesday: 6.37cr. Now that the filmmakers have been exposed to the fact that this rarely experimented with the genre is being liked by the audience, we might see an upward trend in it. Provided, the film is actually executed like this one!
Meanwhile, the makers are all set to come up with the sequel. Producer Dinesh Vijan confirmed this saying, “Along with Shraddha’s backstory, a few other pertinent questions will be answered in the second instalment. The cast will be retained, but there will be new inclusions too. Predominantly, it will still be driven by Raj and Shraddha’s characters.” Have you watched Stree?
