Whenever any terrorist attack happens in our country, one of the worst repercussions of the incident is the accompanying rumour-mongering and fake news. Of course, movie celebs are often the softest targets for the trolls, who demand them to react to these incidents, as if they are responsible for them. And then, actors like Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan get targetted because of their religious identity. Recently, an old fake video went viral that claimed Shah Rukh Khan has donated Rs 45 crore to Pakistan gas tanker accident victims went viral. This is an old video that first started circulating in 2017. India TV News has debunked the news as fake and claimed that SRK did no such thing. Now after the Pulwama terror attack that killed 49 CRPF jawaans, this video went viral again, even though it is quite obvious that no such thing ever happened.
Shah Rukh Khan is known for his generous contributions to the social causes, though he never publicises them. When the Kerala Floods happened last year, he had given a huge contribution to the relief fund. However, in this case, the news is completely false.
After the video went viral, Shah Rukh Khan fans are coming to Twitter to defend their superstar. Using hashtag #StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK, they tweeted examples of his past generosity and asked his detractors to STFU! Shah Rukh Khan's Big Heart Comes to Play as Oscar-Winner Resul Pookutty Thanks Him For His Generosity Towards Kerala Floods Victims.

It is really unfair to Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir and Saif Ali Khan that their loyalty to the country is questioned, every time any terrorist attack happens. We really need to ask ourselves why we are never targetting the real enemies of our unity, instead of these celebs who really don't need to prove themselves to be citizens of this country, though they have done so many times.
