Panipat's release won't come without troubles though. The Afghanistan Embassy had written a letter to I&B Minister, Prakash Javadekar, while expressing their concern over the portrayal of Ahmad Shah Abdali's, the founer of the Durran Empire, and is often regarded as the founder of modern Afghanistan.
Kriti Sanon's character in the film also utters a dialogue, which appears in the trailer, on Mastani and Bajirao's relationship. A Peshwa Bajirao descendant has now raised an objection to it. Nawabzada Shadab Ali Bahadur, the eighth-generation descendant of the Peshwa has now raised a concern and sent legal notices to Ashutosh Gowariker and his wife for this controversial dialogue in the film.
