Sridevi’s Mortal Remains Cleared to be Flown to India, Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor to Bring the Body Tonight

Sridevi’s untimely death has become a national news. Firstly, because Bollywood has lost the gem forever and secondly, the reason for her demise. While all this time it was reported that the reason for Sridevi’s death was ‘cardiac arrest’, now the latest reports say that the actual reason is ‘accidental drowning in the bath tub’. Definitely, this has created an aura of mystery over her death and several speculations are being drawn. On the other hand, Boney Kapoor flew down to Dubai, where the actress’ body is kept, for the formality of interrogation. To be on his side, his elder son, Arjun Kapoor has now flown to the desert city. However, Dubai police has issued clearance and the mortals might be flown down to India tonight by 9pm, if we go by the media reports.

An official statement reads, “Update: Dubai Police has handed over the Consulate and the family members letters for the release of the mortal remains of the Indian cinema icon Sridevi Boney Kapoor so that they can proceed for embalming.”

Earlier, YRF issued an official statement regarding the Ishaqzaade actor’s visit to Dubai, that reads, “Arjun has gone to Dubai this morning to be with his father at the hotel while the formalities are being wrapped up and to oversee the return journey. We will keep you posted with further updates when we receive more information from the family. Thank you.”

Not only Arjun and Boney, but all the Hotel staff members present during the night of the incident (February 24) were interrogated by the public prosecutor. Apart from this, the call logs and messages of the diva as well as the CCTV footages were taken into consideration.
