When a celebs leaves us unexpectedly for their heavenly abode, there are bound to be a lot of speculations and theories surrounding their demise. Even in the case of 'natural causes', such speculations fail to cease. The same also applies to the sad and untimely demise of our favourite actress Sridevi who passed away on Saturday night, while attending a wedding in UAE. While the official reason of her death was declared to be massive cardiac arrest, the UAE officials have just completed the autopsy of the body though they haven't revealed any other info. However, there are some really conflicting information on who discovered her body first.

While it is ascertained that Sridevi was discovered motionless in the bathroom of her hotel room, there are two glaring and contradicting accounts on who found her in this state first. In a report in Khaleej Times, a source says that it was her husband Boney Kapoor who was the first to reach her as he was already in the room. The statement said, “Kapoor, a film producer, flew back from Mumbai and went to her room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel around 5:30 in the evening to surprise her with dinner. Boney woke Sridevi up and the couple spoke to each other for 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner. To get ready, the actress went to the washroom. When she did not return for 15 minutes, Kapoor knocked on the door. On not getting any response, he had to force open the door to discover Sridevi lying motionless in the bathtub filled with water. He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9 pm."

It is also revealed that Boney Kapoor gave a similar statement to the UAE police.

But a report in a different newspaper proclaim that not Boney Kapoor, it was the hotel staff who discovered her first. In that report, a different source says, "At around 10.30 pm, she called the room service to request for water. When the server reached her room within 15 minutes, the actor did not attend to multiple doorbells. After a few minutes, fearing something was amiss, the staffer raised an alarm. When we broke into the room, we found her on the bathroom floor. This was around 11 PM. She had a pulse when we found her, we rushed her to (Rashid Hospital) where she was declared dead on arrival.”

We wonder which report is true. Anyway, her body will be flown today as the preparations for her cremation is underway in Juhu.

The Kapoor family have also released an official statement on this, that read, “Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief. Late Sridevi Kapoor’s body will arrive in India tomorrow (the statement came on Sunday). We will update you on all further information as and when it’s available to us. Request you to kindly reach out to us on everything related to this and we urge you to please not call the family for information on the same.”
