It will be a year today of not having sridevi around. Feel a hollow pit in the heart. And it comes rushing back everytime I see a pic of yours and everything else. Last time I met you at the Filmfare glamour and style awards when #rekhaji presented you with timeless icon award. You were always minus drama and minus any aggression. You went away also very quietly. Slipped away into the darkness. It’s one of those unfathomable mysteries. The ache returns when I see janhavi and see her doing stuff that reminds me of you. It returns when I watch reruns of your comic sequences from #roopkirani....and songs from every conceivable Hindi film. I urge everyone who hasn’t seen your Tamil or Telugu films which really offered you a chance to explore ur talent. Hindi films are not even a fraction of the tour de force stuff you showed in #meendumkokila #Moondrumudichu #moondrampirai #varumainiramsirappu #johnny. And loved the masala fare that you did in your Telugu films with #krishna #ntr and even younger heroes like #nagarjuna in Govinda Govindaa and venkatesh in #kshanakshanam. I repeat you were the A to Z of acting. Every expression a dream to behold. Every nuance a lesson. No one did comedy like you and very few could dance or emote like you. You were the last empress. Death snatched you away leaving us bereft with loads of memories and a gnawing pain in heart. Your imperishable performances and childlike laughter will be enshrined in our hearts forever.

We hope Janhvi and Khushi and Boney Kapoor are holding up strong as it is an emotional day for the family. We know it is a sad day for all her fans out there but what we also know is that Sridevi is in a better place. We hope and pray for her family.
