Sridevi Dies of Cardiac Arrest: Actress' Body to Arrive Mumbai Soon; Bollywood & Family to Attend Funeral

Bollywood is currently under a state of shock as legendary actress Sridevi suddenly passed away in Dubai, after a massive cardiac arrest. The actress was off to Dubai to celebrate Mohit Marwah's wedding and the news has left a void in the industry. Bollywood celebrities are said to attend the funeral today. As per media reports, Sridevi's funeral will be performed on Sunday evening at Santacruz crematorium but if there is a further delay in the arrival of actress' body from Dubai then last rites will take place on Monday. Sadly, her daughter Janhvi Kapoor was in Mumbai prepping up for her debut film Dhadak. Fans are not able to ignore the unfortunate fact that Sridevi's step son, Arjun Kapoor's mom too passed away just before his debut film 'Ishaqzaade' in 2012.

Priyanka Chopra and Sushmita Sen also mourned the news and expressed their condolences on the micro-blogging site. Priyanka tweeted, "I have no words. Condolences to everyone who loved #Sridevi . A dark day . RIP." "I just heard Ma'am Sridevi passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest. I am in shock.cant stop crying.," tweeted Sushmita.

Sridevi was born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, later to be known as superstar Sridevi. She was seen in blockbuster films like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma and more. Sridevi returned to films after a 15-year-long break through Gauri Shinde's 'English Vinglish' which was a super- duper hit again. She was last seen in 'MOM' in 2017.
