The sudden demise of Bollywood's first female superstar, Sridevi, left a void in the Indian cinema that might never be filled. The actress passed away at the young age of 54. With a tremendous contribution to the film industry not just specific to Bollywood but also South Film industries, she carved a niche for herself. Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, the actress dipped her feet in the pool of films at the tender age of 4 in the 1967 Tamil film, Kandhan Karunai.

After proving her acting prowess in the South industry, Sridevi made her way up North, to Bollywood and undoubtedly, vanquished the industry with her talent, pizzazz and more. In fact, during the period in the 1980s and 1990s, she was the highest paid actress in the industry!
