South actor Sri Reddy who has been in the news for showcasing protest again casting couch, must be feeling failed after hearing what Bollywood's ace choreographer had to say about the menace of the casting couch. It so happened that Saroj Khan went on a new channel to give her expert comments on Casting Couch. The comments have not gone down well with Reddy and she decided to slam Khan in no unpardonable way.
Saroj Khan had this to say about Casting Couch and her comments are as appalling as they are shocking. "This is going on from 'baba Adam's times', it is not new. Someone or the other always try to take an advantage of a girl. The government does it too, then why are we only behind the film industry? It provides livelihood at least," Said Khan. The moment these words tumbled out of her mouth, they drew some really strong reaction from the folk from the fraternity.
What was even more disgusting is that Khan drew a parallel that had us choked with anger. "Does not rape and leave you. It is up to the girl, what she wants to do. If you don't want to fall into wrong hands, you won't. If you have art, why would you sell yourself? Don't take the film industry's name, it is everything to us," added Khan. Clearly, Khan does not want people to give a bad name to the industry and single out the film world. But the way she used her words and the message she is sending out is improper, to say the least.
These words have not gone down well with Reddy and she launched a verbal attack of sorts at Khan. "I lost respect for you, Saroj ma'am. Being an elder you should give a good path to young actresses. It is giving a wrong indication that you have to be a slave to producers," Reddy told ANI.
