It was quite a delightful surprise when Akshay Kumar made an entry in last year's Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba. While it was known that Ajay Devgn's cop avatar, Singham, will make an appearance in the film, Akshay's appearance was a tight-lipped secret. It was the hint that director Rohit Shetty is expanding is cop films into a universe. Akshay will be seen playing the role of a cop in the upcoming film, Sooryavanshi, in which Simmba and Singham will also make an appearance. Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar Introduces us to Bollywood's Cop Universe with Ajay Devgn's Singham and Ranveer Singh's Simmba (View Pic).

The look was actually revealed as the celebration for one year of Simmba. But in the end, we get a shot from Sooryavanshi. The trio of superstars appear in the single frame. Ranveer, Ajay and Akshay are all shooting guns standing in a circle. Sooryavanshi will open in theatres on March 27, 2020. Earlier, Akshay had said, "It's been an incredible experience to be a part of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe... We're excited for you to witness it at the cinema, it's gonna blow your mind," We are sure Sooryavanshi will redefine how we see film franchise's in India.
