After a mehandi ceremony with just family members at Anil Kapoor’s residence on May 6 evening, there is a full-blown mehandi function held for film fraternity followed by sangeet in Mumbai’s posh hotel on Monday. Among the first ones to arrive at the venue was Sonam’s best friend and actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Adhering to the dress code for the event that is Indian Festive - Shades of White, the Race 3 actress looked resplendent in a heavily-embroidered grey-white lehenga choli with a matching dupatta. She tied her hair in a low bun adorned with gajra. She put a little blue bindi to get entirely traditional for the function.
Apart from posing gleefully for waiting shutterbugs, Jacqueline also posted a number of stories on her Instagram. One of them was that of actress sharing a funny selfie with the groom-to-be. It had Jackie pouting with Anand giving a surprise laughing look.
Among the others seen at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s sangeet ceremony are actresses Swara Bhaskar, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif along with her sister Isabelle Kaif and filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. This is in addition to the Kapoor khandan led by actor and bride’s father Anil Kapoor, Sonam’s cousins Arjun and Anshula Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and Shanaya Kapoor. Uncles Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor are also present.
