Is this a prank or a well-thought-out strategy to promote her movie Zoya Factor? We don't know! But it certainly isn't cool to promote texting or talking on the phone while driving. So when Sonam Kapoor put this rather interesting video, on her Instagram account, where she is seen calling her Zoya Factor costar Dulquer Salmaan a weirdo, little did the fashionista know that her act will backfire big time!

Mumbai police promptly put an issshmart tweet condemning the irresponsible stunt being pulled here. The message is loud and clear, and for once and for all. "We agree with you @sonamakapoor ! Quite a ‘weirdo’ to try such stunts while driving and putting the lives of fellow drivers at risk too! We don’t quite approve of these even in ‘reel’ life. #NotDone," says the Tweet.

Now we fail to get this. Don't actors put their brains to use and weigh possible consequences of putting something as irresponsible as this on their social media account, especially when they know that their fans may copy or ape them blindly?

And if this is done in order to gain publicity or the much-needed buzz for the film, then Sonam and Salmaan, we are sorry, this is simply NOT done! On the one hand actors like Akshay Kumar are busy promoting safe driving and following rules to keep oneself safe, here's Sonam and Dulquer sending out a wrong message!

Sonam was quick to respond to that tweet where she explains that the two were not driving in the said scene. "We weren’t driving we were rigged on a truck.. but I’m glad you guys are concerned.. I hope and I know you show the same interest in regular folk as well! Thanks for taking care! #Reelvsreal @dulQuer."

We think it is still being irresponsible on Sonam's part! How would fans know that their truck was rigged? The fans blindly follow the stars. Sonam should have narrated the whole saga in her insta story instead of coming back with a sassy response!

Mumbai Police were fab at this clever play on words. They put this not-so-regular tweet in response to what Sonam had to express.

We don't want to sit on fence with our opinion as far as road safety and traffic rules are concerned especially when lives are at stake. Influential people must get this straight: They should post any story in its entirety and not cry over criticisms that come with what they have chosen to show in parts. If this video was shot under a controlled environment then Sonam should have stated so in her first Insta post, if she really cared about her fans that is, rather than cribbing over it later!
