Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan will be seen sharing the screen space in the upcoming romantic comedy, The Zoya Factor, based on the book by the same name. The two good-looking actors are going all out promoting the film. Sonam is even running a daily vlog chronicling her daily promotional activities. This was not the case back in the days when their fathers were the young stars everyone looked up to.  Sonam is the daughter of the quintessentially young, Anil Kapoor, while Dulquer's father is Mammootty, the Malayalam superstar. In an interview with Film Companion, The Zoya Factor stars were asked if they ever compared notes with the careers of their father.

Dulquer admitted that he does indeed compares notes with his father's filmography. "There is so much information out there. In his 30s there were years, when he did 35 films in a year," When Dulquer asked his father about how was this even possible, the superstar explained that these roles are including the special appearances, supporting roles and cameos.

"I am struggling here to do three to five films," Dulquer added.

Sonam also said that she does compare what her father did in his 20s and what she did in her 20s. "What I can compare is he created his own niche, where films were concerned. He was doing films like, Mashaal, Ishwar or Mr India. He was not afraid of doing two-hero films either. He was not afraid of playing grey characters. He was not afraid," she said.

"He didn't realise, or maybe he did, because he is very intelligent and perceptive about things, but he did not play to the toxic masculinity that was very relevant in the '70s and the '80s," she continued.

"In a lot of ways that gave me the courage," she added. "It made it easy for me to make harder choices."
