In a private traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony held at her aunt's plush residence, she tied the knot with her long-time beau Anand Ahuja, who is a Delhi-based entrepreneur. Even though the wedding mostly involved relatives and close family friends of the couple, it still turned out to be a star-studded affair. After all, it is a Kapoor wedding, and the Kapoors are one of the most congenial families in the industry.

The rumours about Sonam and Anand's marriage were doing the rounds for almost a month. Just a week ago, the Kapoors and the Ahujas issued a formal statement confirming Sonam and Anand's wedding on May 8. The statement read: "The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.
