And the prep begins! The countdown to Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's marriage has already begun and preparations are on in full swing to make this wedding a grand affair. After all, Sonam is the first among the siblings to get married! A few pictures of Sonam's mother Sunita Kapoor overlooking the decorations at their residence is doing the rounds on social media.

We all know that the couple will be tying the knot on May 8, 2018 and a couple of celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Farah Khan have already hinted at the wedding despite Sonam keeping mum about it.

Look how beautifully is Sonam's house is decorated!

It's gonna be a big, fat, Punjabi wedding and the Kapoors are damn excited about it! Going against the recent trend of ‘private ceremony’, the Veere Di Wedding actress will apparently invite all her friends from showbiz industry to her wedding. As per the reports in Filmfare, the starry guest list includes, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania, Jacqueline Fernandez.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “It was becoming too cumbersome to manage the travel and living arrangements for approximately 150 members of the extended family and close friends of the Kapoor's as well as Anand's. It would have been difficult for the senior members of the extended family, who are expected to attend all the ceremonies, to fly to Switzerland.”

Interestingly, there will be no wedding cards for Sonam and Anand and their families will only be sending the e-invites. A source told DNA, "Both Sonam and Anand believe in paper conservation. They believe that wedding cards mean a lot of waste of paper. Hence they have asked their families to not print any invitation cards. Instead, they have designed an elegant e-invite together which will be sent to their friends and relatives on their phones."
