Ranveer Singh's Simmba is in the news for quite a lot of reasons. It marks his first collaboration with Karan Johar's Dharma Production. Simmba is also the first mainstream film that director Rohit Shetty is directing Ranveer in (they had previously worked together for an ad film). Simmba could also be the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara, if her first film Kedarnath (releasing on November 29) gets pushed ahead, if we go by some reports.
Now Ranveer Singh and Dharma Productions have shared a new picture that features the actor in his cop uniform and his beloved uncle, Anil Kapoor, kissing him on the cheeks. While we have seen pictures of Anil showering love on his nephew, the captions that Ranveer and Dharma gave to the picture has caught our intrigue. Dharma captioned it as, "Picture this - If these two powerhouses collide, there will be nothing but entertainment!" While Ranveer tweeted the below -
LAKHAN x SIMMBA

So was this a casual set visit or can we expect Anil Kapoor make a cameo in Simmba, reprising his iconic role of Lakhan from Subhash Ghai's Ram Lakhan? Interestingly, when Ranveer's first look as the cop came out, people were already comparing him with Anil's cop act in the '90s blockbuster. There are also reports that Ajay Devgn will be having a cameo in the film, considering he and Rohit Shetty are quite pally.
Ranveer and Anil has earlier worked together in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, where Anil played Ranveer's father. They will also be sharing screen in Karan Johar's multi-starrer ensemble Takht, that will also have Anil's other niece, Janhvi Kapoor.
