After ruling the box office for three consecutive weeks, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba has witnessed a dip in the collections courtesy the new releases. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the cop drama hit the theatres on December 28 and started minting big moolah since day 1. Despite the lukewarm response from the critics, the film not only continued its golden run at the box office but has also become the third highest grossing film of 2018 after Sanju and Padmavaat. But with Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike performing brilliantly, Simmba seems to have suffered at the BO. Simmba Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh Starrer Witness Growth, Collects Rs 237.50 Crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#Simmba is maintaining at lower levels... Affected due to the multiple new releases + reduction in screens/shows... [Week 4] Fri 66 lakhs, Sat 1.22 cr, Sun 1.85 cr, Mon 58 lakhs, Tue 70 lakhs, Wed 63 lakhs, Thu 54 lakhs. Total: ₹ 238.67 cr. India biz."

Adarsh further tweeted, "#Simmba biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 150.81 cr, Week 2: ₹ 61.62 cr, Week 3: ₹ 20.06 cr, Week 4: ₹ 6.18 cr. Total: ₹ 238.67 cr. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER."

While surpassing the Rs 250 crore mark at the Indian box office looks like a task for Simmba, the film should end its run in theatres with lifetime collections of around Rs 242 to 243 crore. We say so because Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray have also released today, making the box office competition tougher. Thackeray Movie Review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Power-Packed Portrayal Works in Favour of This Idol Worship.
