Simmba Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Film Mints Rs 231.31 Crore
Ranveer and Sara's film has turned out to be a massive hit!
Rohit Shetty's latest directorial venture Simmba is in its third week and still drawing the crowd to the theatres. The cop drama, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, has broken a lot of box office records and has become Shetty's highest grossing film to date. In fact, it's his third film which has minted more than Rs 200 crore at the domestic BO. Now that's quite an achievement, right? After raking in Rs 50 crore in just three days, Simmba is now slowly inching towards the coveted Rs 250 crore mark in India. So far the film has earned Rs 231.31 crore at the ticket windows and surprised everyone including the critics who weren't impressed with the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter and announced the updated figures for the film. He tweeted, "#Simmba [Week 3] Fri 2.60 cr, Sat 4.51 cr, Sun 5.30 cr, Mon 2.87 cr, Tue 2.29 cr, Wed 1.31 cr. Total: ₹ 231.31 cr. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER."
Adarsh also pointed out the films that have done well at the box office in the last month were all good in terms of content and therefore were liked by the audience. He wrote on Twitter, "#Kedarnath, #KGF [Hindi], #Simmba and now #UriTheSurgicalStrike... Four successes in one month [7 Dec 2018 to 11 Jan 2019]... Moral of the story: The audience is willing to dig into pockets if the films are worth it... Content talks."
Ranveer, who is currently the talk of the town courtesy Simmba's massive success, is now gearing up for his next release Gully Boy. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film co-stars Alia Bhatt and is releasing on February 14. Since Ranveer is in top form acting wise and has now delivered two back-to-back hits, it's much pretty likely that the talented lad will hit the bullseye once again.
