Simmba might have not impressed the critics as much as it should, but it is definitely drawing in the crowds! The masala entertainer directed by Rohit Shetty has been clicking well with the audiences, both at single screens and multiplexes. Thanks to its entertainment value and whistle-worthy scenes, Simmba has been scoring well over the weekend, with no other release to challenge its dominance. While Rohit Shetty knows the kind of content that appeals to the single screens and has filled Simmba with it, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's star-appeal has managed to draw in audiences at the multiplexes. Simmba Box Office Collection Day 1: Ranveer Singh’s Film Beats Padmaavat to Become His Highest Opener; Earns Rs 20.72 Crore.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Simmba had a huge opening weekend, registering its biggest collections on Sunday. The movie has earned Rs 31.06 crore on December 30, bringing its three-day total to Rs 75.11 crore. With this kind of collections, there is no doubt that Simmba will get into the Rs 100 crore club by Wednesday. Sohum’s Tumbbad, Ranveer’s Simmba, Anushka’s Pari: The Best Movie Posters of 2018 That Had Us at Hello – View Pics.

Taran Adarsh also revealed that nearly half the revenue earned by Simmba is from the Mumbai circuit, which was expected since the movie revels in Marathi flavour.

With these collections, Simmba gives Ranveer Singh his second-highest opening day collections, after Padmaavat. The movie's success is important for the actor since this is a chance for him to prove that he can earn a hit beyond the realms of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Though, we have to add here that Simmba also benefits from the star cameos of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.
