After getting off to a smashing start at the box office, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty's first film together Simmba entered the Rs 200 crore club on day 12 itself. Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the cop drama wasn't able to impress the critics big time but that didn't stop Simmba from pulling the crowd to the cinema halls and minting big money. The Ranveer starrer, which has now become the third highest grossing film of 2018 after Padmaavat and Sanju, is also faring exceptionally well overseas. In fact, it will soon surpass the Rs 100 crore mark at the overseas BO. Ranveer Singh Was Asked If His Time Has Come as Khan Films Didn’t Work and His Reaction Is Hilarious.

Anyway, coming back to the domestic box office, Simmba on day 13 surpassed the lifetime collection of Ajay Devgn's blockbuster Golmaal Again by raking in Rs 208.14 crore in India. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to popular microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated box office figures.

He tweeted, "#Simmba crosses *lifetime biz* of #GolmaalAgain on Day 13... Will cross ₹ 60 cr in Week 2, taking the 2-week total to ₹ 212 cr+... [Week 2] Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 13.32 cr, Sun 17.49 cr, Mon 6.16 cr, Tue 6.03 cr, Wed 5.31 cr. Total: ₹ 208.14 cr. India biz."

Yesterday, Adarsh also revealed the overseas collection and had tweeted, "#Simmba packs $ 11 million from international markets...[Week 2], Fri $ 683k, Sat $ 793k, Sun $ 583k, Mon $ 238k, Tue $ 300k..Total: $ 11.005 million [₹ 77.38 cr] #Overseas."

While Simmba will surely continue its golden run at the box office in the coming days, on Friday two new films will arrive in theatres to compete with the Rohit Shetty directorial. Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike and Anupam Kher's The Accidental Prime Minister will hit the screens on January 11. Though its pretty much unlikely that these two films will pose a threat to Simmba at the ticket windows, the number of screens will get divided between the three movies which could affect the collections of the Ranveer starrer. So it will be interesting to see how things pan out for Simmba from Friday onwards.
