Rashmika Mandanna is predominantly recognised for her work in Telugu and Kannada cinema. She has also starred in a few Hindi films, including Goodbye, Mission Majnu and Animal. The actress has finalised her next project in Bollywood, titled Sikandar. After sharing the screen with Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra and Ranbir Kapoor, she is now set to star opposite Salman Khan in the upcoming movie helmed by ace filmmaker AR Murugadoss. Touted to be an action entertainer, the makers of Sikandar announced today actress Rashmika as the female lead. Rashmika Mandanna in Sikandar! Salman Khan has previously shared screen space with many young actresses, including Pooja Hegde, Disha Patani, Katrina Kaif and others. His new film, Sikandar, will mark his first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna. This places Rashmika among the list of young actresses to feature alongside the Bollywood superstar. Nevertheless, the makers have not clarified yet whether Rashmika, aged 28, will play Salman’s, aged 58, love interest or another role. With a significant age gap of 30 years between the co-stars, this detail is sure to attract attention.

Sikandar is being bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and is slated for release in theatres on Eid 2025. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna also has several other films in her kitty, including Pushpa 2: The Rule, Rainbow, The Girlfriend, Chaava and Kubera.
