Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in this year's Aiyaary. The spy thriller was released last month and riding on huge expectations, since it was directed by Neeraj Pandey and had Malhotra pitted against Manoj  Bajpayee. However, Aiyaary opened to very poor reviews and was a disaster at the box office. The disastrous response of Aiyaary comes on the trot on the failures of Ittefaq, A Gentleman and Baar Baar Dekho. After the debacle of his last movie, Sidharth has not officially announced any movie, though he was touted to play the lead in Ek Villain 2 and Captain Vikram Batra biopic.

Recently the handsome actor was spotted outside his mentor, director-producer Karan Johar's house. And it makes us wonder if this is just a friendly visit or if it's a professional meeting to discuss some future movie. As you might be aware, it was Karan Johar who had launched Sidharth Malhotra, along with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in 2012's Student of the Year. Karan Johar, or rather his production house, was also responsible for Sid's last certified hit, Kapoor & Sons.

If Sidharth Malhotra is there to discuss a movie, we wonder which project it will be. Is it the untitled Abhishek Varman movie, that was supposed to star Sridevi, but now has Madhuri Dixit? Karan Johar has claimed that the movie is not the much touted Shiddat and he has promised to divulge the rest of the cast soon. So will Sidharth Malhotra be a part of it? As of now, his career really needs that KJo touch!

Among the SOTY debutantes, Karan Johar is doing the most projects with Alia Bhatt, as of now, with Alia playing the lead in Raazi and Brahmastra.
