According to a complaint submitted by Kothari, he alleged that Raj Kundra in March had announced a scheme by the name of Satyug Gold wherein they offered to give back gold at the same rate after five years. He claimed that investors had to make a full payment at a discounted price while applying, and at the time of maturity, they would be delivered the exact quantity of gold.

Kothari said that in 2015, he learned that Satug Gold had discontinued the scheme, leading him to demand his money. However, they failed to deliver him the gold as promised earlier in the scheme.
