At a time when the whole country is seeing unrest over CAA, here comes the motion poster of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Shikara. The film talks about the time when Kashmiri Pundits had to flee the region to save their lives. The motion poster is really powerful which says how their story is being told after 30 years. It looks quite gritty. The trailer will release on January 7, 2020, while the film will hit the theatres on February 7, 2020. There were reports that the makers, Vindhu Vinod Chopra Films and Fox Star Studios, are going for a digital release rather than a theatrical one. But the producer-director squashed the rumours calling it Fake news. Chopra is known for his hard-hitting movies on stories that are stark. So it is good that Shikara is releasing on the big screen. It will be an experience in itself if the aerial shot of a shikara in the motion poster is anything to go by.

The motion poster looks quite impressive where the dates are mentioned. We hope we get to see the story of Kashmiri Pundits finally.
