Shahid Kapoor's latest offering to the world is Kabir Singh, the official remake of Arjun Reddy.  After the first day of its rune, Kabir Singh has turned out to be a landmark film in Shahid's career. It is his biggest solo opener ever. The movie has earned a whopping amount of Rs 20.21 crore on Friday. Shahid certainly needed this big win. His last release Batti Gul Meter Chalu did not have an impressive run. His solo release before BGMC was Shandaar and, well, Shahid really needed Kabir Singh. The actor did have Padmaavat in between which might be the biggest opener of his career. But the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie gave more attention to its other two leads, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone- a fact that was admitted by Shahid, himself, on Koffee with Karan.

Tough to believe but yes Kaminey only earned Rs 4.39 crore on day 1. With Kabir Singh, we are sure things will drastically change for Shahid Kapoor. He should be riding the Kabir Singh wave on to his next movie as well. Shahid will be next working on a biopic on boxer Dingko Singh. Reports also suggest that Shahid is in talks with Nikhil Advani for his next directorial.
