Shah Rukh Khan’s NGO Meer Foundation Website Launched on Father’s Day 2019

NGO Meer Foundation aims to create a network of support for women.

As the world celebrated Father's Day on Sunday (June 17), Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan and other celebrities took to Twitter and Instagram to thank their fathers with adorable posts. Among others, Shah Rukh not only remembered his father on this beautiful day but also launched a website of his NGO Meer Foundation. The foundation, that aims to create a network of support for women, has been named after his father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan. Shah Rukh wrote on Twitter, "A foundation I named after my father - @MeerFoundation - aims to create a network of support for women. On the professional front, Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, along with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, which failed to do good business at the box office. So, it looks like, after the debacle of Zero, Shah Rukh is being extra cautious about the kind of films he signs. Stay tuned!
