Shah Rukh Khan is currently struggling with the harsh reviews about Zero but enjoying the love and affection he's being showered by his fans. The movie has already managed to earn more than Rs 50 crore and it is slowly gaining moment at the Indian box office. While we read reports of the actor collaborating with Salman Khan for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, seems like those were mere rumours. However, the news of him taking the Don franchise ahead is still going strong and these recent affirmative reports prove it further. A recent report by PeepingMoon suggests that Farhan and his team have finally locked down the script and the actor is excited to come on board and start shooting for it. "They have finally locked the script and believe me, it’s going to be the best of the franchise. Don 3 will have a completely different storyline, unlike Don 2 which was the continuation of the first part," a source close to the project told Peepingmoon. However, since the star has already signed Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, a biopic on Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma, he'll start shooting Don 3 only after he wraps the other one. The biopic is slated to release in 2019 while the shooting of Don sequel will start in August 2019 and the film will release in 2020. Farhan Akhtar Has NOT Replaced Priyanka Chopra In Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Don 3.

Earlier there were reports of Farhan Akhtar replacing Priyanka Chopra's character in the film. Since the sequel belongs to a completely different realm, the actress won't be a part of it but she does know about its storyline. Farhan narrated her the story during the shooting of The Sky is Pink. SRK told Farhan to shoot Don 3 only after he is done with Saare Jahaan Se Achcha on which Farhan happily agreed as he himself has some acting commitments which need to be completed before he dives into his next directorial", the source further added.
