The much-awaited episode of David Letterman's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction featuring Shah Rukh Khan is finally here. The Netflix special show is currently in its second season and we have seen Letterman hosting prominent personalities such as Ellen Degeneres, Tiffany Haddish among others. The crackling trailer of the interview showed Shah Rukh giving some sassy responses to Letterman. In the episode, Shah Rukh opened up about his son Aryan Khan's acting career. For the longest time, there have been reports of Aryan planning to make his Bollywood debut and after his stint as a voice actor on the recently released Disney film, The Lion King, the buzz got even stronger. For the live-action flick's Hindi version, the father-son duo teamed up for the roles of Mufasa and Simba in the film. Aryan received a lot of love from the audiences.
During his interaction with Letterman, Shah Rukh spoke about the possibilities of his son entering the film business and said, "My son doesn't want to act and I don't think he can. But in India, it's like if you are a movie star's son then you can become a movie star. He looks nice and tall...okay. But I don't think he has what it takes perhaps, and he realizes it himself. But he is a good writer. I think wanting to be an actor has to come from within. It's something that you really feel like doing, wanting to do and then find a set of skills and or learn it. But I think he realized it when he said that. He came and said, 'I don't think I want to act'."
"His issue was very practical and honest. He said, every time I will be compared to you. So if I do well, it will not be because I will be skilled at this. It will be oh obviously because he is his son so he will do well, it is in the genes'. And he said, if I don't do well, it will always be like my god look at him, what his father did and look at him, what is he doing. So he said, I don't want to be in that position", he further added. Well, looks like all those who were hoping to see Aryan sign a film soon will be slightly disappointed. Although we still have hopes from his daughter Suhana Khan who has already been making a lot of noise for her acting skills already.
