Aamir Khan has taken the Thugs of Hindostan failure very seriously and he wants to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. The actor is taking his own sweet time to announce his next big project and if certain reports are to believe, he's keen on adapting Mahabharata on the silver screen. While we read reports of how the actor may star in Gulshan Kumar biopic, Mogul, he distanced himself from the project after the #MeToo allegations were hurled upon its director, Subhash Kapoor. In his recent interaction with DNA, SRK revealed Aamir will play the role of Krishna in Mahabharata and that's something that we knew and saw coming. The actor has always been vocal about his fascination for Karna but since he doesn't have the right body to play the part, he'll be Krishna instead. And while we wonder if the actor is ready to splurge a huge amount on this movie, reports suggest that his team is developing Mahabharat as a seven-part web-series.
In a recent media interaction, writer Anjum Rajabali revealed why Aamir couldn't give his nod to Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha and the role eventually went to Shah Rukh Khan. Since the 3 Idiots actor is busy prepping for Mahabharata, he wanted to focus on it completely and had to let go of the biopic. Aamir Khan will be flying to America with his team to ideate and adapt the story. The series/movie won't have any known actors as the TOH star wants all new and fresh faces. He earlier said in an interview that he is keen to make Mahabharata but is afraid of starting the project.
