The Mumbai police recently registered an extortion case and summoned Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in connection with a death threat issued to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The threat was accompanied by a demand for INR 50 lakh, and the call was traced to a phone number registered under Faizan Khan’s name. The Mumbai Police had been investigating the matter since the threatening call was made, tracing it back to Raipur.
