Section 375 Teaser: Richa Chadha and Akshaye Khanna are Lawyers at Loggerheads in the Courtroom Drama Revolving Around a Rape Case (Watch Video)
The teaser of Richa Chadha and Akshaye Khanna's Section 375 is here and it looks super intriguing. The teaser shows Richa and Akshaye fighting it out at the court as the public prosecutor and defence lawyer in a rape case. There's not much we get to know about the story in the trailer but it sure promised to be interesting.
Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha have come together for courtroom drama titled Section 375 where Akshaye plays a criminal lawyer called Tarun Saluja whereas Richa essays the role of the public prosecutor, Hiral Mehta. In the teaser, we see Richa and Akshaye's characters at loggerheads over the case in question. The video also features facts and figures around rape cases in India as compared to other nations. The makers on Wednesday teased the audience by releasing the first look of the film with the caption, “Renowned filmmaker has been taken into custody by the Mumbai Police on charges of rape under Section 375.”From the teaser, it does look it like this is going to be an interesting film considering the story's relevance today.

Speaking about her role in the film, Richa had recently informed saying, "My character is that of a very driven and ethical lawyer. Hence, I wanted to see what drives people to take up litigation in the first place. That's why law schools were a good idea and spending time with them was of great help. The research came in handy and has been crucial."
In the film, Richa's character will argue for the victim, played by South actress Meera Chopra whereas Akshaye will be seen in the role of the lawyer, working for the rape-accused film director, played by actor Rahul Bhatt. Directed by Ajay Bahl, Section 375 is produced by Panorama Studios. The film was earlier scheduled to release on August 2.
