Section 375, the courtroom drama directed by Ajay Bahl, had hit the theatres on September 13, 2019. Starring Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Meera Chopra and Rahul Bhat, this film is based on Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code laws in India. Although this film was declared average at the box office, it did open to positive reviews from critics and fans for its engaging narrative and performance of the star cast. Now Section 375 is all set to be screened at the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China. The SIFF will commence from July 25 and it reportedly has amazing line-up of films until August 2. The Shanghai Eye page on Twitter shared, “The much-anticipated Shanghai International Film Festival promises to be a feast of movies as 320 films will be screened, with 232 of them premieres. 29 designated cinemas in Shanghai will be holding the screenings. #SIFF2020”. According to a report in the Global Times, over 300 international exhibitors will join the International Film and TV Online Market. Regarding the tickets, they were sold online, considering the safety of individuals. The SIFF will be the first Chinese film festival to be held amid the epidemic.
