Satyamev Jayate trailer

John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee play the leads in writer-director, Milap Zaveri's next, Satyamev Jayate. Milap Zaveri is known for writing dialogues for movies like the Masti series, Shootout at Wadala, Kaante etc. As a director, he is known for making light-hearted fares like Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai and Mastizaade, but he did get into thriller territory with his short film, Raakh. With Satyamev Jayate, he goes full-length with the genre. Newcomer Aisha Sharma, who is the younger sister of actress Neha Sharma, is playing the female lead.

The first trailer of Satyamev Jayate is out, and it reveals John Abraham playing a one-man army against corrupt officials. Manoj Bajpayee plays the cop hot on the pursuit of the vigilante, who doesn't mind going violent against the victims. The vigilante saga also reminds us of this year's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, starring Harshvardhan Kapoor, where the hero goes against the corrupt government officials and politicians. Also, the protagonists of both Satyamev Jayate and BVJ are both motivated by the deaths of their dear ones to go on their vendetta saga. But Satyamev Jayate boasts of being commercial and owning bombastic dialogues. Check out the trailer here -

One thing I have noticed is that John Abraham's recent movies seem to have little BJP leanings. In Parmanu, there were repeated televised references of 'kamal' (lotus, the sign of the BJP party) blooming once again. In Satyamev Jayate, there are two mentions of 'Achche Din' and '56 inch ki chaati', which you know, are the fave catchphrases of You-Know'Who.

The trailer also confirms that Satyamev Jayate is scheduled to release on August 15, clashing with Akshay Kumar's Gold. So how did you find this trailer? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
