Hindi Medium was 2017's one of the most- appreciated movies. The sleeper- hit took away rave reviews from the critics as well as the masses. A total entertainer with a lesson taught subtly, this Irrfan Khan- Saba Qamar starrer movie is soon to have a sequel. The second installment that will jump straight a decade year later in the story, might have the young beauty Sara Ali Khan as Irrfan Khan's daughter, reports Mumbai Mirror. Irrfan and Saba's on- screen five-year-old daughter Pia (Dishita Sehgal) will grow up into a teen and this role will be apparently played by the Kedarnath actress.
A source told the tabloid that post the success of Hindi Medium, producer Dinesh Vijan is excited about the sequel. Interestingly, Sara's mom Amrita Singh played the headmaster of Delhi Grammar School in the film. Also, Vijan has worked with his former business partner and Sara's father, Saif Ali Khan through films like Being Cyrus, Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone and Happy Ending.
The source said, "Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter." On the other hand, Dinesh told the tabloid, "I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now.”
After Saket Chaudhary directed first installment, the sequel too will have a new take on educational system. However, Saba Qamar will probably not be the part of this ambitious project. No matter who gets featured as the lead actor, the idea of a sequel of this celebrated film itself is soothing! Do you think Sara will be the apt choice for the Hindi Medium 2?
