Sanju Director Rajkumar Hirani Appointed as a Jury Head at Malaysian International Film Festival 2019
Indian filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has been appointed as the jury head for this year's Malaysian International Film Festival.
Indian director Rajkumar Hirani known for his films such as 3 Idiots and Sanju has been named the jury head for this year's Malaysia International Film Festival. The PK director is a part of the jury panel including South Korean cinematographer Kim Hyung-Koo, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Yip, Indonesian director Joko Anwar and Malaysian director Ho Yuhang.
The film festival is all set to commence from July 14-19. This year, Malaysia International Film Festival and Malaysia Golden Global Awards unveils ‘Humanity’ as the main campaign theme and key message. Congrats Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani! The festival was launched in 2017 with the screening of international films as well as local films for the Malaysian audience. In last year's edition of the Malaysia Golden Global Awards, Russian drama Tesnota had won in the best film category. The Indian director is known for his films making a global impact. His last film, Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor managed to become a blockbuster at the India box office. The film made a collection of over 320 crores which is massive.
