Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Remake Thalapathy Vijay's Kaththi; Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar or Ranveer Singh - Who Should Play the Lead? Vote Now

Thalapathy Vijay's 2014 film Kaththi was one of the biggest hits in the actor's career. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie was a social action thriller that had Vijay in a double role with Samantha Akkineni as the female lead and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the main antagonist. There were talks that AR Murugadoss was going to remake the film for Bollywood. However, the latest update is that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has brought the remake rights from the film.

Behindwoods broke the news but doesn't divulge if SLB will be directing the film or producing the same. We are betting on the latter as Sanjay Leela Bhansali did with Rowdy Rathore and Gabbar is Back. Since it is quite in early stages, the details of the cast are not known yet. There is a high possibility that Akshay Kumar could play the lead again, as he has proven lucky for SLB twice with the superhit Rowdy Rathore and the decent Gabbar is Back.

Then there is Bhansali's favourite leading man these days, Ranveer Singh. Ranveer is going full masala with Rohit Shetty's cop thriller Simmba, that is also a remake of a South film (Jr NTR's Temper). Can Ranveer go masala once again for SLB?

Finally, there is Salman Khan, who has patched up with his favourite director, and is starring in his next film. Salman is, of course, the champ of action movies and making them Rs 300 crore hits, save for Race 3 of course.
