Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Pair Up Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone for 'Inshallah'?
Salman and Deepika had never worked before, though certain film-makers did try to rope them together for a movie.
In a casual announcement during an interview to promote Race 3, Salman Khan had mentioned that he is doing a film with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This caused ripples of excitement among Salman and SLB fans, as the actor and director are reuniting after a decade. Before Ranveer Singh stepped in, Salman Khan had been SLB's blue-eyed boy, having worked with him in three of his movies. Salman has been the lead in Bhansali's debut film, Khamoshi: The Musical, as well as in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, that has been SLB's big-ticket movie in Bollywood. Salman also had an extended cameo in Saawariya.
Now we hear a new report that Bhansali is eyeing his favourite heroine, Deepika Padukone as the female lead in the film. The movie also has got a title it seems; it will be now called Inshallah. A report in India today quotes a source, "Inshallah might be the title of the film that will reunite Sanjay and Salman. He got the title registered last week with IMPAA. And looking at Bhansali's working style, he might take six to nine months to complete the final draft of the script, and he may start shooting by next year, after Salman is done with his other prior commitments including his next film, Bharat."
Salman and Deepika had never worked before, though certain film-makers did try to rope them together for a movie. Let's see if Bhansali can do the near impossible. We are sure Deepika won't say no to him, if asked. After all, Bhansali gave two of the biggest hits of her career in Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani. As for Inshallah, the movie is aiming for an Eid 2020 release.
