Sanjay Kapoor is celebrating his 54th birthday today. The actor has been in the industry since 1995. Over the years, he has picked quite a few movies that played to his strengths. The actor reportedly won the Most Inspiring Indian Actor award at an event at House of Common Parliament of the United Kingdom. Maybe the title was a bit too much, maybe not. One thing we'd like the trolls to remember is that Sanjay's body of work has some really good performances in various movies.

So, as a tiny token of appreciation, we are going to list down some movies starring Sanjay Kapoor, where his performance was worth noting. If you had not already noticed how cool was Sanjay's performance in the following, your time is now. A very happy birthday, Sanjay Kapoor.

Lust Stories

We are going to begin the list with the most obvious one. The actor starred opposite Manisha Koirala in this segment from Lust Stories which was directed by Dibaker Banerjee. He plays the role of a husband who comes to know his wife is cheating on him with his best friend and potential business partner. The role required him to show his sensitive and wicked side at the same time, and he aced at the job.

Raja

It takes a lot of efforts to stand ground opposite a beauty like Madhuri Dixit. But Sanjay, with his performance, made us notice him. Sure, the dancing skills in Ankhiyaan Milaoon could have used more efforts. But those doe-eyed look for the most part of the movie worked just fine.

Qayamat: City Under Threat

The actor featured in a negative role in this film. This movie was probably the only Bollywood film to have an ethical non-monogamous relationship. Sanjay's character was in a delta relationship with Isha Koppikar's character, who also was dating Sanjay's brother, played by Arbaaz Khan. How cool was that concept to explore in a Bollywood movie? Too bad that these three were terrorists after all in the movie or we would have stanned them more. It was quite bold of Sanjay to take up the role in 2003, when things like these are still a taboo. Sanjay did not miss a beat in his performance.

Luck By Chance

Sanjay Kapoor appeared in a supporting role in this movie about movies and stardom. The actor portrayed the role of a typical Bollywood director who'd set a dream sequence at a night club only to justify the actor's dancing spree after a funeral. Sanjay's spot-on performance must have surely ruffled a few feathers in the industry.

Mission Mangal

Sanjay plays Vidya's husband in the film. First things first, the movie goes meta when Sanjay dances to his hit song "Ankhiyan Milaaon" from Raja. Sanjay plays a loveable husband and supportive husband to perfection. By loveable we don't mean he is put on a pedestal. But Sanjay taps into the likeability and the flaws of the character seamlessly.

So, those were our picks for the best Sanjay Kapoor performances. He was quite cool in the recently release The Zoya Factor where he played Sonam Kapoor's father. Honourable mention to Jaago as well.
