Sona Mohapatra believes in speaking her own mind. She isn't someone who gets intimidated by influential people and has no qualms in raising her voice in matters that she thinks are unjust. While the singer was earlier trolled for slamming Salman Khan for his 'walking like a raped woman’, this time the issue was him taking constant jibes at Priyanka Chopra. Sona was miffed with the actor for blaming PeeCee for walking out of Bharat and feels he's the poster child for toxic masculinity. Sona Mohapatra is Miffed with Salman Khan's Constant Jibes at Priyanka Chopra, Says his Bad Behaviour Should be Called Out.

However, her reaction wasn't appreciated by his die-hard fan who then threatened to kill her via an e-mail. The actress was quick to share the screenshot on her Twitter account post which he realised his mistake and apologised for being silly. The actress took to her Twitter account to share his apology message and tweeted saying "From ‘S**t I’ll kill you’ to ‘Sona Mam’. A journey of toxic intimidation to ‘being intimidated’ within 24 hours?  I’m guessing he figured that #India would find & thrash him soon enough. In her recent conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Sona revealed that she has no personal grudges against the Bharat actor. "Calling Salman out was not personal. I don’t really care, he is just the poster child of toxic masculinity. He symbolises a lot of things that are wrong when it comes to gender. I think the whole country needs to watch for what’s right and wrong behaviour and he can’t help his bad behaviour. But I don’t want to empathise with him at all because I don’t think any of us should,” she said. Well, it's unsettling to hear about the kind of threats these celebs receive and that's almost on a daily basis. After Anurag Basu highlighted the way his daughter was threatened, it was Sona Mohapatra struggling to pay a price for raising her concern! Sometimes we wonder if ache din is a myth.
