Salman Khan's Dabangg3 is one of the most talked about franchises in Bollywood. While director Arbaaz Khan had already confirmed the sequel to Dabangg 2 being in the pipeline, we read reports about it being a prequel instead. Yes, Dabangg 3 is a prequel to Dabangg and this explains why Sonakshi doesn't have a meatier role in this project. While there were rumours if Saqib Saleem will come on board to play an antagonist in this part, we learn the actor was never approached for it. In fact, as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Kannada actor Sudeep has been roped in to play a baddie in this Salman Khan starrer. A source close to the project and tabloid revealed how Salman and Sudeep were always keen on working together. "Sudeep and Salman have been planning to team up on a film since a long time and things have fallen in place. The two will engage in Tom and Jerry kind of skirmishes in Dabangg 3. Sudeep's character has shades of grey", informed the source. The movie will go on floors in April and will be shot over 90-100 days. There was also a buzz that the project will have two antagonists and the second role will be played by Telegu actor Jagapathi Babu. However, the source refuted all these rumours saying it's not true. While director Prabhudeva has narrated the script to the Kannada actor and he has verbally given his nod to it, an official announcement about the same will be soon made. A few days back Salman even took to his Twitter account to release the teaser of Sudeep's upcoming movie, Pailwaan. And this only proves that the duo is in talks to collaborate for this B-town project and the reports above are not mere rumours. Dabangg 3 is likely to release on Christmas 2019 and clash with Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra.
