Salman Khan's Bharat is the first big release of this year and we have some high hopes pinned on Ali Abbas Zafar's next directorial. The movie is all set to release on Eid, June 5 and clash with Sophie Turner's Dark Phoenix that's Hollywood's newest offering. While you can't compare Salman with X-Men in terms of their popularity, the recent success of Hollywood releases in Indian markets could have been a cause of worry. However, with Bharat releasing in more than 4000 screens across India, our worry has lessened to a great extent. Bharat: This Nashik-Based Salman Khan Fan Books an Entire Theatre to Watch First Day First Show!

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan's upcoming release is set to open in 4000+ screens in India and 1250+ in the overseas market. Now that's a significant amount though nothing unusual for Mr Khan. His earlier releases too received a similar number of screen counts while Hollywood is always restricted to mere 2000-3000. According to trade analyst, Komal Nahta, Fox Star Studios wanted at least two shows for Dark Phoenix in the single screen theatres. However, the theatre owners weren't willing to. The battle for gaining a good number of screens was getting quite intense but eventually, Salman was able to win the race. Bharat: Check Out the Box Office Report Card of Salman Khan and His Eid Releases!

Meanwhile, the movie has received a U/A certificate from the Indian Censor Board post which Ali decided to go ahead with 24 cuts in it. No, it wasn't the board's decision but his own will. Since the movie was a bit long, he decided to shorten it by a couple of minutes.
