Salman Khan is currently promoting his upcoming film, Bharat. And as it happens around all of the actor's movie releases, he is saying the kind of stuff that is making fiery headlines. Here is one where he is talking about how he plans to charge award shows to nominate him. The actor was speaking to Hindustan Times, when he opened up on the subject. "For me, awards have never mattered. In fact, I want to put it in my contract, and send a notice that I shouldn’t be considered for any nominations," he said. That sounds like an odd clause to add in a contract. But Salman has his reasons. He further added, "And, if they do nominate me, then they have to talk paisa with me. Humara naam daalenge nomination ke andar, aur show ka naam badhega. Free fund ke andar woh humse paisa kamaa ke jaayenge, humko nahi chahiye."
Stories are popular that Salman was the first actor who started charging money to perform on stage at award shows.
