Salman Khan Wanted Katrina Kaif to be a Part of Inshallah and Sanjay Leela Bhansali was Against it?
Was Katrina Kaif the reason why Inshallah was shelved eventually? Salman Khan wanted his Bharat co-star to be a part of Bhansali's next but the director was not in its favour.
Salman Khan's collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after so many years had to make headlines for obvious reasons. And his pairing with Alia Bhatt was like a cherry on the cake for all his fans. While things were going pretty smoothly and the shooting was about to begin, SLB made the announcement of it getting shelved. What followed next was a string of rumours narrating what made the Padmaavat director leave his next big project. Here's What Sanjay Leela Bhansali Plans To Do With Inshallah After Salman Khan Walks Out Of The Film.
From SLB refusing Arpita Khan as the film's costume designer to Salman insisting on casting Daisy Shah and Waluscha De Sousa in Inshallah - there were a host of stories we read about the differences brewing between the actor and the director. But a recent report suggests the real reason behind their fallout was Katrina Kaif! As per Rajeev Masand's column in the Open magazine, the Dabangg actor was keen on having his Bharat co-star be a part of Bhansali's project. Salman, in fact, wanted the filmmaker to introduce a special track that would require a different face. And knowing how particular Bhansali is about his projects, he simply couldn't agree to his demand. He thought it's better to end the project than abandoning it later. Rest as they say is history. The last time when Salman recommended Kat's name for a Bhansali movie was when he was making Bajirao Mastani with the actor. This was obviously before Deepika and Ranveer came in the picture.
