Salman Khan spent last night in a Jodhpur jail. The court pronounced him guilty in the blackbuck poaching case which had been going on since the last 20 years. We bet just like everyone else, you too are wondering how was Salman’s last night in jail like. Jail superintendent Vikram Singh, while briefing the media on the celebrity inmate, said Khan would be treated as a normal prisoner and no special treatment would be given to him.
- Salman’s bodyguard Shera gave clothes and food for the actor. The police didn’t allow clothes because Salman, like other inmates, was expected to wear the clothes that the police provides them with.
- The actor wasn’t allowed to take food from outside either as food is provided inside the jail itself.
- Salman Khan was offered to eat gobi ki sabzi, roti and daal but he refused to eat that. “He (Khan) was given normal jail diet like Dal chapatti and the morning meal will include simple khichdi," he said. Sources, however, said the Bollywood icon did not eat the jail food.
- The actor had a blood pressure issue when he came inside the jail and the doctor of the prison dispensary checked him. His blood pressure was later declared normal.
- “He wasn’t all quiet inside the jail but the tension was visible on his face. He seemed a little depressed for obvious reasons but there was nothing to worry about,” said Singh.
- Khan slept on floor. No special bed was provided to him. He was given a rug a cooler last night.
A penalty of Rs. 10,000 was also levied on him. The actor is accused of killing two blackbucks in the Kankani village near Jodhpur in 1998 during the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. He was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and others under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
As of now, the hearing for Salman Khan’s beail plea has begun. Let’s see what the law has in store for Bhai.
